About Us

DifferentiationCentral is a service of the Institutes on Academic Diversity (IAD) at the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education. Created in 1996, the goal of the IAD is to help educators understand the principles of Differentiated Instruction and develop competence and confidence in creating responsive classrooms that meet the diverse learning needs of today’s students.

About DifferentiationCentral

The IAD offers several institutes on Differentiated Instruction each year that bring together educators from around the US and the world to the University of Virginia (UVA) campus in Charlottesville, VA.

ReaderDifferentiationCentral was created as an avenue for institute attendees to continue the conversations and learning begun at these institutes. Of course, we welcome anyone, not just institute attendees, who wants to learn about differentiation and help others learn.

As DifferentiationCentral continues to grow, we look forward to your comments and suggestions to guide us in making it a valued resource for helping you to ‘Reach every learner every day through Differentiated Instruction.’
